This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hampton Hotels. All opinions are 100% mine.

“We love having you here,” this phrase is from Hampton Hotels' signage. To prove this phrase Hampton Hotels launch a new exciting contest that is Hampton Chain of Friends Sweepstakes. The contest offers a great and easier way than ever to connect with friends this summer. For the first prize, 100 other lucky winners will get a free weekend stay at Hampton for them and three friends. One grand prizewinner will get an entire hotel for the weekend (100 rooms for 2 nights). I want to try this because there's nothing that beats a vacation I will not have to pay for the hotel and can invite my friends and family. A stay in a hotel that is given to you is better than the one you took from your wallet. Even when I was a kid, I would not pay for it, which made it better and easier for me to enjoy. Now I am older, have family of my own, and circle of friends it will be great that somebody would help me out and save me money on my next vacation.

Are you thinking of joining the contest? Well, do not think twice. To join the contest is just a piece of cake. All you have to do is visit Hampton Hotels' website, register and fill out the required information. Who knows, I might be one of those 100 lucky first prizewinners or be the grand prize winner. Hope for the best and cross your fingers because I already feel like a winner and will take my loved ones and friends to Hampton Hotel Sandusky-Central, Ohio. For sure, we will have an exciting fun-filled weekend going to amusement park, zoo, and mall hopping.

So, come on and visit the link and key in your luck.

6 Characteristics You Need to be a Successful Teacher

If you aspire to become a successful teacher, you must: have a sense of humor, possess an optimistic outlook, set a high standard, prove that you are a consistent teacher, treat all students fairly, and be flexible.

Generally, teachers who do well in their teaching career tend to have similar traits. In order for you to succeed and become a good educator, you must have the right materials and sufficient training. in addition, a competent teacher should possess certain positive characteristics. These are to be learned, developed and mastered. They are precious qualities, which you cannot buy from a teacher supply store. All of these traits are within you, just waiting to be unlocked and honed. Let us find out if you have what it takes to become the successful teacher you know you can be.

Have a sense of humor

Having a good sense of humor will give you an edge. Your sense of humor can reduce any tension within the classroom, and it will create a pleasant atmosphere for learning. Students will continue to be attentive in class and will look forward to being in school. This will not only give a positive effect to your students but to yourself as well. It will be easier for you to tackle a stressful teaching life because of the happy disposition brought about by your good sense of humor.

Have an optimistic outlook

Having an optimistic outlook is a plus for you. Your profession may bring about problems and difficulties along the way. Nevertheless, you will surely be able to deal with them triumphantly because you are equipped with the right attribute: a positive attitude.

Set a high standard

High standards and expectations will boost the achievement capacity level of your students. When you increase the yardstick of your expectations, your students will give more of their efforts, too. This will give them the right attitude towards their studies and will give them the confidence they need, too. Just make sure you do not make you expectations and standards unattainable.

Prove that you are a consistent teacher

To be able to establish a good classroom environment that will aid students in learning, you must be able to deliver a clear and sound set of rules. Let your students know what they can expect from you every time you meet for class.

Treat all students fairly

It is so easy for students to notice it when a teacher is being unfair. Treating students unfairly is not an option. It is required and expected that you treat every student fairly at all times.

Be flexible

One of the principles of teaching is to be able to adjust to continuous change. Distractions and disturbances are likely to occur in between normal days. Thus, a flexible teacher will remain calm and in control when these things happen. He will even continue to have zest for the rest of the day.

Pretending to Sleep

I am taking a nap. My eyes were closed when my friend asked if I am asleep. I did not respond. Nevertheless, this friend of my mine keeps on asking what I do to fall asleep fast. Actually, there are times that I have to take sleeping aid pill but that time I just simply answered with eyes closed still, “I am sleeping.” Yet seems, not satisfied with my answer, he still asked, how. I gave the same answer “Just trying to sleep”...”nahhh”, he insisted and asked me to give him a brief description how I do that. I opened my eyes and told him “I’m thinking and pretending I am already sleeping,” he burst out laughing and left;)

Me in my promising hit and miss;)..nyahahaha.
I have been playing badminton during my rest days three weeks in a row now. I have always enjoyed playing badminton for it is an exciting indoor or outdoor sport. Just like any racket sports, we played this game in singles and in doubles. The deal was losers would be the one to prepare the dinner, lol. It was just a little hard every time my opponent would hit a shot as high because I will surely miss it. I guess you know who made the dinner, huh. Whew! With the sweat I had in this game, sure I lost another pounds. Indeed, badminton is always a great work out.

Tuesday, 20th of July, my friends and I were invited to watch the Motor City Casino Talent Showcase. The show was a fund raising activity, which highlighted the talent of MCC employees. Whew! MCC employees got a Talent. The eleven contestants showed their singing prowess on stage. I can still recall a response from one of the contestants when the host asked him why he joined the contest. He smiled and simply said “cuz I’ve got a little talent”;)...he's right, as I was there and witnessed the show, indeed, these employees got talents. They are excellent performers. After watching the talent showcase, we went to the casino game floor to watch the live band and had some drinks. This night out will not be completed if we do not have pictures at all. Since we could not take pictures at the casino game floor, we took the opportunity of taking pictures in the Take note "restroom.” So, women coming in and out of that restroom might be thinking we are crazy picture addicts. Before leaving the casino, we played on a penny machine. We enjoyed that one very much. My friend bet a dollar on the machine and she won five bucks, hahahaha. So, before she loses those five bucks we decided to leave the place. Before heading home, we stopped by at Big Boy Restaurant to have our dinner.

Thanks Rock for the tickets, rides and foods;)
