Saving Money
Guest post written by my buddy Royce Heath
Saving money has always been really important to me but now that our second child is here it’s no longer fun and games. You know that show “Extreme Couponing?” I’d like to say I think it’s crazy but to be honest I relate to it as much as I do anything else which is a scary thought. I’m always on the lookout for ways to save us more money whether it’s finding Direct Energy Elmwood rates or dealing with contractors directly or even going to the grocery store at midnight when they put out all the sale prices. My husband’s really proud of me for cutting so much off our monthly bills but I still sort of feel like I could be doing more. I know I’ve done a lot for us and my calculations say I’ve saved us over $4000 just in the last three months which is huge when you think about it. But you know, at the end of the day all the money we save just goes back into the kids!

Five Great Ways to Care for the Elderly
There are numerous things that you can do to show that you really care for older people. For instance, make your place easily accessible, research comprehensively, listen attentively, recognize their needs and look into cost considerations.
There’s no question that the important individuals in your life often extend to all generations as well as age groups. Taking good care of seniors is a part with life’s cycle, and there are amazing rewards as well as fulfillment to be gained when you devote some time with your loved ones, without regard for their age.
Make your place easily accessible
When you are hosting elderly parents or maybe family members in your residence, it is very important first ensure that your house is convenient and easily accessible to aging adults. It is a good idea to first welcome your elderly loved ones with some gift items so that they may feel at ease, like gifts for the blind elderly or gift baskets with their most liked items. In addition to that, you may want to start considering including inclines and also remodeling your first floor rooms to make it simpler and easier for them to get around the house. This is especially useful if they need the help of a wheelchair to go around.
Research comprehensively
Before you set up your home as well as make the proper arrangements, you’ll need to research comprehensively all facets of the condition. Ask for tips and seek out professional views regarding what you should do, the things you’ll need to be prepared for, and what are some things that you might anticipate within this period. Future planning is an effective technique to stave off undesirable troubles in your forthcoming activities.
Lend them your ears
Listening is not just a form of good manners, it can also be an excellent way of showing someone that you really care. This is a fantastic way to strengthen the bond between you and a certain loved one because you get the chance to view things from their viewpoint, broaden your viewpoints and basically enjoy quality time with each other.
Acknowledge their needs
Needs don’t merely consist of those that are material or entirely physical. Human beings have equally important emotional needs which need kind consideration and affection. An enormous portion of taking care of older people necessitates a much deeper perception of their needs. Usually, old parents or family members need company and gentle words. After years of toiling and sacrificing, the one thing they are looking for from their family members is time. Dedicate more of your time with the aged and you’ll find that there is certainly a lot to life that they can tell you.
Look into price considerations
Taking care of seniors can be really expensive, especially when they have personal healthcare needs. It is essential to take a moment and seek advice from an adviser the possible cost factors just before committing to a plan. The consequences of starting the care of an aged person without first creating a sure budget could be distressing, and you need to only make a commitment if you’re able to find out something through. You can ask other relatives or even siblings to help when you’re unable to manage the financial demands of taking care of the elderly.
Taking care of seniors is a noble job, however it tends to be exhausting, wearisome and leave you feeling worn-out and also exhausted. When times get challenging, it is important for you to remember the reason why the elderly have an important role in your life.

Most Used Word
Read until the end ... you'll laugh.
This two-letter word in English has more meanings than any other two-letter word, and that word is 'UP.' It is listed in the dictionary as an [adv], [prep], [adj], [n] or [v].
It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP?
At a meeting, why does a topic come UP? Why do we speak UP, and why are the officers UP for election (if There is a tie, it is a toss UP) and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report? We call UP our friends, brightenUP a room, polish UP the silver, warm UP the leftovers and cleanUP the kitchen. We lock UP the house and fix UP the old car.
At other times, this little word has real special meaning. People stir UP trouble, line UP for tickets, work UP an appetite, and think UP excuses.
To be dressed is one thing but to be dressed UP is special.
And this UP is confusing: A drain must be opened UP because it is stopped UP.
We open UP a store in the morning but we close it UP at night. We seem to be pretty mixed UP about UP!
To be knowledgeable about the proper uses of UP, look UP the word UP in the dictionary. In a desk-sized dictionary, it takesUP almost 1/4 of the page and can add UP to about thirty definitions.
If you are UP to it, you might try building UP a list of the many ways UP is used. It will take UP a lot of your time, but if you don't give UP, you may windUP with (UP to) a hundred or more.
When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding UP. When the sun comes out, we say it is clearing UP. When it rains, it soaks UP the earth. When it does not rain for awhile, things dry UP. One could go on and on, but I'll wrap it UP, for now . . . my time is UP !
Oh . . . one more thing: What is the first thing you do in the morning and the last thing you do at night?
U
P!
Did that one crack you UP?
Don't foul UP . Send this on to everyone you look UP in your address book . . . or not . . . it's UP to you.
Now I'll shut UP!

2Straight Talk-September
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Straight Talk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Hi everyone. I'm back with my latest Straight Talk experience. This happened only recently, and I couldn't help but share with you how happy and satisfied I am with Straight Talk.
During the Labor Day, my family had a special holiday bonding. My cousin from Lansing joined us, along with her husband and their cute, five-year old daughter. It was their first time visiting our place so they needed instruction to get here.
Her husband already studied their route through their tablet's GPS feature, but my cousin preferred to get instructions while on the phone. She had tried to call me more than thrice, but those calls barely lasted three minutes because it always gets disconnected.
Good thing I have my Android on Straight Talk . Its flawless reception ensured that I got to stay on the phone, from time to time, to give them instructions (by the way, the GPS wasn't helpful at all because their daughter busied herself with the tablet.) My cousin was able arrive to our place earlier than their estimated travel time, thanks to Straight Talk.
The secret lies on this amazing smart phones; touch screen phones, and app capable phones with features like voice navigation, camera, video recorder, music player, instant messaging, and Bluetooth®. I got the unlimited monthly service for only $45, and include calls, text, picture messaging, and web. I can even use mine for international long distance at a very low rate.
If you are kind of stretching your budget and want to buy your young kids a cellphone, well Straight Talk also has reconditioned phones that are available from $10.00 with camera, mp3 player, mobile web access, and blue-tooth capability. Your kids could Call a friend anytime they want to.
Just imagine the amount I saved since I switched to Straight Talk. I feel richer every month. Try the Straight Talk because unlike other providers offering so-called "quality services" that we take Hook, line and sinker, unaware of the hidden charges, Straight Talk bares it all, it's Everything you need. No contracts, no hidden charges, all quality services from trusted phone manufacturers like LG, Motorola, Kyocera, Nokia and Samsung.
So, folks, if you want to save extra money, try Straight Talk.Visit the following You Tube videos for more information and real customers testimonials.

Finding a Perfume Pick-me-up
Guest post written by Michaela Lewis
There's just nothing to make me feel a little bit better or happier than dabbing on some sweet smelling perfume. Sometimes I even put perfume on before I go to bed because it's just a nice little addition ot end the night with. I dare say that I even sleep better when I put on perfume before I go to bed at night. But I want to try and pick out a new type of perfume. Every few months I get restless and decide to buy a perfume so now I'm shopping for it.
I've been using my wireless internet to shop around for certain perfumes and comparison pricing. I also got a few suggestions from beauty blogs on perfumes that fit my needs and personality.
When I was picking out a new perfume I narrowed it down to Chance by Chanel and Mark Jacobs Daisy before I went with the Chanel one. I just thought that it smelled so sweet, but not really in a floral way. It smelled like it could be a little mysterious, which was what I was after.

Sunny Sunday : Playtime for Sunny
After playing, Sunny flew back to his cage where his little mirror is and taps on it. Tapping the mirror is Sunny’s one way of saying that we need to put his toy back. When he got his toy back, he would start kissing and talking to him while looking into the mirror occasionally.

Enjoy Life
Many of us would do different things and various ways to be happy. Some would go to different places to make their self-good. Some would go to the mall and buy things that would make them happy. Some would watch comedy shows. Some would call and talk to a friend. Some would just lift their heads and look to the blue skies. Some would play music they like.
What would really make us enjoy life? Well, we just have to enjoy the people around us. Why? Because whatever we have, whatever we possessed if we do not learn to appreciate or enjoy the people around us, all our happiness is superficial. We have to face the fact that people surround us. We are living in the midst of people. One concrete scenario is the workplace. There are times that we do not enjoy working. One reason is that we do not enjoy the people we are working with.
Lately, I have been impinging on with my work associate. She is a nice woman but lately I observed that she could easily be aggravated. Her fuse is too short. I understand that some of our co-workers are sometimes difficult to deal with. Not only because of the age gap but also because of each of us has different culture. The attitude she have is a little virus that slowly infecting me. I started to think like her also and started not to like some of the co-workers that she does not like, as if I am trying to sympathize with her. However, deep inside me, I know this is not me. I should not feel the way in which she feels. I do not want to be too proud. I do not want to criticize my co-worker every minute. I have to correct this attitude right away. I do not like always wear a puckering eyebrow at work.
Instead of feeling how she feels. I talked to her and advised her to be more patient. I told her to start looking on their good qualities. Stop focusing on their ways that irritates her. Seize on looking on their bad qualities and trying to correct them. It’s not healthy emotionally and mentally to keep on passing judgment on them. Learn and love to enjoy them. Not all of us are perfect. I told her, we do not know they might not like us also. Nevertheless, love always begets love, appreciate always begets appreciate and so respect begets respect. Enjoy the whole package. Start enjoying people and we will enjoy life.

No Regrets with Net10
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Net10 for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
I have been using a Net10 phone for about three months now and I can say that I have never had any bad experiences with this carrier. In fact, there was this incident that really made me appreciate Net10 even more, and I just want to share that experience now.
During the spring break, my friend and I were assigned to attend a 3-day educators' convention in Texas. As teachers, it is our duty to undergo trainings as often as we can so Jane and I took that 2-hour plane ride from Detroit to Dallas.
When we arrived at our hotel room, Jane tried to call Jacob, her boyfriend, back in Michigan just to let him know how she was faring so far. I was unpacking my luggage when I heard Jane let out a frustrated groan. Her call just got dropped and when she tried to dial her boyfriend's number again, the automated voice prompt advised that she is calling a number that is out of coverage area. Imagine that!
Seeing the need, I handed Jane my Net10 phone and let her use it so she could call her boyfriend. Well, she was able to call Jacob because what's so good about my Net10 carrier (compared to Jane's carrier) is that it provides nationwide coverage and unlimited talk, text, and data, for $50 a month.
When Jane was done talking to her boyfriend, she started asking about my Net10 carrier and I, as a real NET10 customer, proudly gave her enough reasons why she should switch to Net10 too. You see, with Net10, there are no contracts, no surprise bills, and no credit checks and yet it has great nationwide coverage and excellent reception and connectivity. In addition, Net10 only uses trusted phone manufacturers like LG, Motorola, Kyocera, Nokia and Samsung which you can buy for as low as $15.00 (the smart phones they offer are even available under $60.00). If I need more airtime, I purchase it online, but you can also buy it at a nearby store, or directly from your phone.
And because I wanted Jane to see the Light with Net10, I let her watch a cute NET10 commercial in YouTube and listened to what Rob has to say about Net10 carriers. Visit this link so you can see it for yourself:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgxxrJoHsMQ ; you can also check them out at Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/NET10Wireless) or Twitter (http://twitter.com/#!/Net10_Wireless), or visit their website directly at http://www.net10.com/.
Before the end of the 3-day convention, Jane had already purchased her own Net10 wireless phone at a nearby Best Buy store, and had spent the evenings talking to her boyfriend. She treated me to lunch as her way of thanking me and, yes, I got Net10 to thank for it. I was glad I chose Net10 over other providers.
